The Skills Fair is a fundraising event is run by two charitable organisations: The ORCA Project and Dorcas ACTS. It is also a unique opportunity for people to learn new skills.
The Skills Fair is an opportunity for individuals to undertake a journey of discovery within a supportive group setting with peers and friends.
The costs of running this event will be donated and all the speakers are volunteering their time. In 2025 we have raised a total of $4,347 that was shared with the ORCA Project! Thank you all for your support!

The ORCA Project offers work skills training for young people aged 17 – 21 years with disabilities that includes the development of transferrable work skills and a variety of work experience.
The ORCA Project is an NDIS-approved service of Wesley Mission Qld.
Dorcas ACTS is a charity that provides fast, compassionate financial support in times of crisis or natural disaster.
It is a 100% volunteer-run organisation with over 98% of donations going directly to those in crisis (fire, drought, flood, domestic violence, hunger, and elder abuse).
Dorcas ACTS is a Christian mission of the congregation of the Aspley Uniting Church.

On the Day
- Bringing the (electronic) ticket is a must!
- Bring pen and notebook if notes should be taken.
- Ready questions for your sessions.
- The ORCA Project make a coffee cart and a market stall available.
- Additional donations are welcome on the day – they are tax deductible.
