Pacific Island Dancing
Have some fun for all ages learning to dance together!
Workshop facilitated by
Iasinta Davui
I am a NZ born Samoan, married to a Fijian warrior who is the AUC Families Pastor. Together, we are proud parents to three champion kids who are passionate about their cultural heritage, family, sports and enjoy exploring their creativity through the arts.
I have a background in performing arts, having studied at the Excel School of Performing Arts in Auckland, NZ, where I majored in vocals with a minor in dance. I embarked on production tours, singing and dancing across NZ for a year with Excel, followed by a two-month tour in the US, Canada, and Russia. Subsequently, I joined Jireh, a NZ Christian Hip Hop RnB group that toured NZ and Australia, leading me to migrate to Australia for greater opportunities.

I was blessed to volunteer and work at Camp Amerikids in NY for nine years during the months of July and August. Fun fact: this is where my Fijian warrior and I fell in love.
I was brought on as program staff to facilitate vocal, sports, and dance workshops, while producing cultural performances at Camp Amerikids. These NY inner-city children from underprivileged backgrounds would most like not have the opportunity to travel due to their circumstance but this opportunity allowed a way for us to share and bring cultural art/cultural experiences through Polynesian performances from around the world to them. Camp Amerikids catered to children from the ages of 4-18yrs affected by HIV/AIDS or sickle cell disease and was located in Connecticut, New York.
Currently, I serve as a worship leader at AUC 4pm service, utilising my talents to create engaging experiences for the JC Crew, which is the 4 PM Sunday School childrens group.
I am passionate about using my God-given talents to present the Gospel message in creative unique ways through my culture, creative performing arts, song, dance, and worship. My aim is to create spaces and encounters for people to meet our Lord Jesus Christ, allowing Him to love, heal, restore, and transform them while guiding them toward their own God adventure to pursue the plan’s & purposes the Lord has for them.
The workshop will be fun, interactive and gentle – no past experience in dance necessary! It’s designed for ALL ages, regardless of age or ability.
